I’m Mia, a figurative artist based in Nottinghamshire, England.
All of my pieces are hand painted by me in my home studio.
For me, painting has been a natural creative outlet and language of self-expression since being old enough to hold a paintbrush...Maybe even before that, honestly.
It's always brought me pure, uncomplicated joy.
Each of my artworks is a visual demonstration of my lived experiences, thoughts, personality, and values; I use a semi-abstract style to blend the intangible nature of personal interpretation with the relatable realism of everyday experience.
Friendship, femininity, celebrating the beauty of everyday rituals – my pieces capture women simply existing in a moment, together or alone.

I use oil paint on canvas to craft whimsical forms in my signature naïve, contemporary art style.
With a love of soft, warm colour palettes and playful pattern, the scenes I depict are vibrant and fun; I like to keep my brush marks visible – preserving the natural texture of the oil paint – to emphasise the intimacy and realness of the moments captured.
I truly love what I do and, in sharing this part of myself, I hope to create pieces that make you feel empowered, understood, and a part of something.
